You can add shelving to the walls to store things. If you like to garden, set up a separate gardening area to have everything you need. Hang a peg board to hang gardening tools on. Add a cabinet with drawers to store fertilizer, potting soil, gardening gloves, and more. 

If you like to work in the garage, you can purchase a roll-around tool kit. This allows you to move your tools from different areas easily. This can be helpful if you are working on a vehicle or working at a workbench. Adding cabinets with a countertop can be useful for many things.
